2. Anne Thomas Soffee gives the thumbs-up to Rob Sheffield's new memoir, Talking to Girls about Duran Duran.

3. Jazz legend Roy Haynes leads the way at Jazz at Lincoln Center.

4. Booking a music series with big names at a small venue among the redwoods. (This also is probably the only music series to host both Bert Jansch and Arcade Fire.)
